MR and Mrs furnish lived on the end of the street. They were roughly 80 – 85 years old. They were never outside and never made a sound. They were the only house that didn’t have kids, had dead rose bushes on the middle of the drive way and loads of parcels at the front door. There door had a do not disturb sign on the handle, but you could barley read it there was mold all over it. Rumors have been going round for years now that they no longer live, I have been starting to believe that is true. I have this gut feeling to go inside the house. Will I or will I not?
Why is there a sound in the freezer you may ask. As soon as I shut the door to come inside everything was gone, except for one thing, a frozen rubber it had stripped blocks of ice on top and a shimmery puddle of water around it. My day was already hectic but it just got weird. I looked back outside and it was already twilight I then shut the door looked at the rubber looked back opened the door and it was morning again. It was actually kind of exciting it was weird I felt excited about it. What was this rubber doing here?
“A yellow smelly cactus, what are you talking about” said Shay.
“No you forgot it was holding an umbrella” I replied back.
“But how could that happen while I was taking a picture of the zebra” Shay said back.
“Okay I know it sounds weird but it’s true, it’s really true, it walked straight past me” I said looking backwards and forwards.
“So let me put this straight whilst I was taking a picture of this zebra you saw a yellow smelly cactus holding an umbrella” Shay said.
“Yep spot on” I said.
“That’s just crazy” shay replied with exhaustion.
“Well it started with me walking down the street last night because my mum had drove off on me, because we had a fight so I tried walking home. When I got to the street a guy rocked up, and said jump in i’ll take you home so I hopped in and he came and locked me up in this room there that good enough story Lizzy” said Bella.
“Yeah close enough” I said back.
But when I looked behind me there laid this sick little scrawny rat.
“YUCK” I screamed at the top of my lungs. Hopefully nobody heard that otherwise we were gone.
“Now entering the stage Shaylah and Cole”, said the director.
Then the crowd erupted with laughter, as Shaylah ran off stage with such embarrassment Cole turned and look with tears running down his face he was never going to get her friendship back.
Two weeks ago they had been chosen to do a replacement for two of her friends. Her younger brother chose to do a relatable comedy act, the thing was Cole and shaylah had the biggest stage fright. As shaylah ran off the stage Cole looked with major guilt, what was he going to do to get shaylah to forgive him what really happened?
Then it began to move. It has to be an animal but not just any animal a nocturnal animal because why would anyone be awake in my house at this time of night. It had a pungent smell to it that made my nose burn like blue fire. I decided I would suss it out. Now with a peg on my nose with a vacuum cleaner in my hands walking down the stairs with crazy bed hair. I found myself at the bottom of the stairs turned looking at a mirror screaming at the top of my lungs. What exactly made me scream?
I can’t believe it I have lost my viola for the fifth time this month, last time I had found it my sister had it under her bed. I have searched for the whole morning I can’t find it.
“I’m really sorry but I still can’t find your viola” my mum whimpered
“If I can’t find it I could go to the store and buy you a new one but it may not have the same ancient, gold look” my younger sister said willingly
I walked off with no response I was never going to find my viola. What was I going to do without it?
It’s 5:53 I was at a diner party with my parents, but it wasn’t just any dinner party it was my dads boss, that meant that I had to have impeccable manners this was going to be hard.
“Fizzy how are your grades going at school” said Jamie the bosses wife
that’s when I knew I should run. The thing is my grades get worse and worse everyday the worst thing of all is that my parents don’t know that we have grades at middle school, the reason my parents don’t know is because I throw my report in the bin. How will I get out of this?
“What a lovely morning fresh air, fresh water and fresh grass it couldn’t get any better”, my sister said laying on a mat reading a book.
“I know such an amazing view we are so lucky”, my little brother said with excitement.
Wait a second what is Rufus barking at, theirs no one around, theirs nothing in the water and theirs nothing near us that would scare him Rufus came back slowly with a bloodshot look in his eyes. He arrived and sat next to me with and incessant panting noise it was painful to listen to, what was there.
At exactly 2:33pm, my mom was going to bring in my pet raccoon, but turns out my mum was going to be super late it was now 2:40pm, the kids were getting restless I was slowly getting more and more humiliated.
“Oi kid when you bringing in your stink pet” said James in a teasing voice.
“Yeah, I agree with James get a move on” said Benjamin screaming meanly.
My raccoon lived in a moldy box on top of a chair he loved playing with leaves in fact a leaf was the most interesting thing for him he would blow them into the sky and watch them float down. My mom finally got there it was a relief to me.
